Are there restaurants close-by
Yes, your trip to the Craneway Pavilion located in the Richmond Marina is a true destination offering 4 adjacent restaurant concepts for you to enjoy. The Assemble Marketplace is a multi-concept restaurant, bar, and cafe - hosting Tommy’s Barbecue Company, Rocky Island Oyster Co, and Brezo. Modeled as a smaller San Francisco Ferry Building, Assemble Marketplace offers brunch, lunch, and dinner. Menu
A. Assemble Marketplace Restaurant (IG)
- Adjacent to The Infinite
- Hip spot for American bites & stunning bay views
- Same opening hours as the experience
- Seats 60 people, however, can accommodate up to 100 people
- B. Brezo Brunch & Lunch / Beverages Area Brezo, a family-run restaurant, and caterer located in the historic Craneway building, focus on farm-fresh California meats and organic produce with a Latin flare. They strive to make everything in-house and from the freshest quality natural ingredients. Their masa and pastries are freshly and locally made. Their seasonal menus reflect whatever is best in the market.
- C. Rocky Island Oyster. Co Rocky Island Oyster Company was founded in 2021 by Danny Pirello. Harkening back to Pirello’s childhood oyster bars in Scituate, Massachusetts, he was inspired to bring New England oyster culture to the Richmond waterfront with farm-direct fresh oysters from the East Coast and seafood classics such as lobster rolls.
- D. Tommy’s company Tommy’s Barbecue Company serves delicious smoked meats inspired by the storied tradition of Texas Barbeque. The San Francisco Chronicle named it a Top Ten BBQ restaurant in the Bay Area. Founded in El Sobrante in 2018, Tommy’s menu features pork ribs, smoked chicken, pulled pork, and brisket with several delectable sides.
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The exhibition will be held in an indoor venue in an award-winning, architecturally significant Ford Assembly Plant that delivers awe-inspiring panoramic views of the Bay, the San Francisco skyline and surrounding areas.
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
It is recommended that you arrive within the time stated on your ticket, but you can arrive within the next ten minutes.
What happens if I arrive late?
If you miss your check-in time, you should speak to a staff member when you arrive for assistance and, if possible, we will try to accommodate you by giving you access to the site upon your arrival, or else sadly you will lose your ticket. Being on time is really important as if you were to get into a spaceship!

In what language is the experience presented?
The experience is presented in English only.
Do you have lockers?
We offer self-serve lockable lockers for small bags and belongings (size 1′×1′). We do not take responsibility for any belongings that are lost while left unattended. We do not suggest leaving any valuables, wallets, keys, phones in the lockers. We encourage you to leave all your valuables at home, and pack lightly.
What is the minimum age requirement?
THE INFINITE is perfect for a family with children ages 8 and over. Children under the age of 8 will not be admitted, not even little ones in baby carriers, as it is not recommended by VR manufacturers.
Can children do VR alone?
Children between 8 and 12 will have the opportunity to dive into THE INFINITE either in augmented reality with a tablet or in virtual reality with an OCULUS mask. However, they will only be able to do the latter if their accompanying parent or legal guardian signs the waiver acknowledging the risks and authorizing the activity. Children between 8 and 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that the accompanying adult won't be able to supervise or assist the child during the VR portion. Here is a waiver to sign for kids between 8 & 12 years old. There will be a copy at the check-in of the experience (to consult the waiver
Is the venue ADA compliant?
The experience is designed to be as accessible as possible and offers numerous alternative ways to be experienced to accommodate the needs of individuals requiring special consideration.
I have hearing aids, can I still do the experience ?
You can still do the experience with hearing aids, please note that the headsets have headphones attached to them and that the volume can be adjusted as needed.
For visitors who are hearing impaired, English subtitles are available.
Can this experience be done by a person wearing eye glasses?
The experience is more comfortable if you use contact lenses because they are placed directly onto your eyes.
According to official documentation from Oculus, they recommend glasses that are 142mm or less wide and 50mm or less high. Anything more than that will likely have trouble fitting in the Quest 2 and most other headsets on the market
Can I bring animals? Are service dogs allowed?
Due to the nature of the multi-user tracking technology, service dogs are permitted for the Space Walk portion of the experience. These visitors would, unfortunately, be limited to the seated experience to reduce the possibility of collision with other users in virtual reality. They’re equally entitled to a free ticket to accommodate a companion.
Will there be strobe lights?
Yes, in an exclusive installation from world renowned Japanese artist Ryoji Ikeda. While the flashing lights are not damaging to the eyes, we do not recommend visitors who experience photosensitive epilepsy, who have a history of seizures, or who have a heart condition to partake in this installation. If you are at all concerned, please ask an available attendant after your free-roaming experience for directions to bypass these sections of the experience.
Is the virtual reality experience uncomfortable or unsuitable for people with certain conditions?
The virtual reality experience is safe and enjoyable, but can be uncomfortable for some people. It is not recommended for people with claustrophobia, heart problems, a history of seizures or epilepsy and/or sensitivity to flashing lights or 3D. One of the installations uses strobe lights.
People who are prone to motion sickness are also more likely to experience discomfort when using a virtual reality headset. Similar to the symptoms sometimes experienced when stepping off a cruise ship, vertigo may persist and increase within a few hours of use. Symptoms may also include drowsiness. These symptoms may increase the risk of injury when undertaking normal activities in the real world.
For those who experience motion sickness or vertigo, we have a few options:
- We have the option for the experience to be done with the use of a tablet and augmented reality technology. This will let visitors share the same experience alongside their friends and family, and see what they're seeing.
- We've also created an edited seated documentary version that lasts approximately the same duration as the free-roaming part of the experience. While it's not interactive, it's a 360-degree immersive documentary that lets visitors still experience life aboard the International Space Station.
